Job description
Position summary
As a Produce Stocker with Walmart Canada, you’ll help keep the produce department organized, well-presented, and ready for customers. This role is suited to someone who enjoys retail work, values customer service, and is comfortable handling stock, product presentation, and food safety routines.
Key duties
- Keep the produce section organized and properly zoned.
- Move stock through the department and remove items that are past their expiry dates.
- Make sure products are correctly labeled, signed, and priced.
- Follow cold-chain standards, including thermometer checks, temperature logs, product rotation, and monitoring sell-by and expiry dates.
- Carry out food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures according to company requirements.
- Complete ordering-related tasks and handle clearance, markups, markdowns, and tagging/labeling activities correctly.
- Maintain full stock levels so the department is ready for business.
- Follow health and safety rules at all times.
- Restock and pick merchandise as needed, downstock where applicable, apply product protection when required, and set up modulars, flex modulars, and new shelf caps.
Compensation
The starting minimum pay for this role is $18.30 per hour.
Minimum qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
