Produce Clerk

About the role

Sobeys is seeking a part-time Produce Clerk to support the produce department in Campbellton, New Brunswick. In this role, you’ll help keep fruits, vegetables, and related items well presented, well stocked, and easy for customers to shop. Full training will be provided, and the position is part of a large retail network with a strong focus on service and community.

Sobeys and its banner brands operate across Canada through corporate-owned and franchise stores, serving customers through grocery and pharmacy locations nationwide.

What you’ll do

• Follow company standards, procedures, and policies in daily work.
• Welcome customers in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Deliver excellent customer service aligned with company programs.
• Keep produce shelves filled with fruits, vegetables, frozen items, and other perishable and non-perishable products.
• Set up and maintain displays according to store standards.
• Rotate stock to help maintain freshness and product quality.
• Load and unload merchandise for the sales floor.
• Help manage back-room stock and inventory.
• Operate the cash register when extra support is needed during busy periods.
• Take on additional tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
• Work evenings and weekends as required.

• Ability to stoop, kneel, and squat when needed.

Additional information

No previous experience is required for this position. Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred. Compensation is described as competitive and based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity, but no fixed wage range is provided in the posting.
