About the Role

Ambatt Contracting Company is looking for an experienced Procurement Supervisor to join the team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This position focuses on managing procurement activities specifically for construction projects, including materials related to MEP, Civil, and Architectural disciplines. The candidate will oversee supplier relations, commercial negotiations, technical and cost evaluations, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and perform daily procurement functions across multiple construction projects.
Prepare, distribute, and track Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers and subcontractors.
Analyze technical and commercial offers to determine the most advantageous proposals considering quality, price, and delivery time.
Negotiate terms such as pricing, payment, delivery schedules, and contractual agreements with vendors.
Create purchase orders and supervise the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery at project locations.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Technical Office, Site Teams, Warehouse, Quantity Surveyors, and Finance departments.
Track long lead items and keep procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.
Confirm that procured materials meet project specifications, approved submittals, and client demands.
Maintain records and evaluate performance of suppliers and subcontractors consistently.
Ensure adherence to relevant Saudi regulations including SABER, SASO, FASAH, and Local Content requirements where applicable.
Maintain procurement documentation and records within ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Between 5 to 8 years of procurement work experience, ideally within Saudi Arabia’s construction sector.
Expertise in purchasing MEP materials such as Fire Fighting Systems, HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Sanitary Ware, Low Current Systems, Electrical Cables, LV Panels, Lighting Fixtures, Cable Trays & Trunking, EMT & PVC conduits and fittings.
Substantial knowledge of Civil and Architectural construction materials.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management capabilities.
Proven ability to prepare detailed technical and commercial bid comparison analyses.
In-depth knowledge of the Saudi supplier and subcontractor markets.
Competency using ERP software, Odoo preferred.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office suite.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Capacity to handle work pressure and manage procurement tasks across numerous projects concurrently.

Preferred Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
Professional certifications such as Procurement, Supply Chain Management, CIPS, Lean, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
Prior experience with government or large-scale projects like ROSHN, NHC in Saudi Arabia is highly regarded.
