Position Overview

We are looking to engage a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team under a contract basis, working remotely within the United States. The position is centered on managing the entire procurement lifecycle with an emphasis on SaaS, cloud services, and professional service vendors. This role demands strong strategic negotiation skills and a commitment to enhancing procurement processes in a fast-paced technology environment.

Work Details

The job is based remotely in the U.S. with an expected work schedule of Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement activities for SaaS, cloud-based solutions, and professional service providers ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment.
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms to optimize value and reduce organizational risk.
Coordinate efforts with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Security, People, and Operations to unify procurement strategies with company objectives.
Perform detailed vendor price analysis and benchmarking for informed purchasing decisions.
Handle vendor contract renewals proactively, identifying potential cost savings and service improvements.
Advance procurement operations by refining workflows and employing automation solutions, including AI tools.
Support supplier onboarding processes and maintain solid vendor relationships.
Manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously, maintaining priorities among more than 40 ongoing activities.
Utilize procurement software, preferably Coupa, alongside Excel, Google Sheets, Coda, and AI productivity applications such as Superhuman to enhance operational efficiency.
Implement process automation initiatives to continuously improve procurement functions.

Candidate Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate SaaS, cloud, and professional services contracts successfully.
In-depth understanding of procurement protocols and negotiation methods.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Experience in procurement process automation and ongoing improvements.
Self-motivated and capable of excelling independently in a demanding environment.
Familiarity with procurement tools such as Coupa or equivalent contract management systems.
Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and AI-driven productivity tools.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Between 5 to 7+ years of relevant experience, especially within SaaS or technology-focused companies experiencing rapid growth.
Proven track record in negotiating IT procurement agreements.
Prior experience with Coupa procurement software and Coda platform.
Knowledge of advanced AI productivity applications like Superhuman.
A passion for continuous operational improvements and automation within procurement processes.
