Role Overview
Ucalux, a firm specializing in construction and real estate development including residential, commercial, and industrial projects, seeks a dedicated Procurement Officer to join their Lagos State team. This full-time position involves managing the supply chain aspects essential to project progress by sourcing materials, reconciling bills of quantities, negotiating vendor pricing, and ensuring timely delivery to active construction sites.
Key Duties
- Handle material requisitions aligned with approved bills of quantities, identifying and evaluating vendor quotations to obtain optimal pricing.
- Manage purchase order issuance, coordinate supplier delivery schedules, and sustain robust vendor relationships to ensure steady material supply.
- Oversee logistics to project sites, confirm that delivered goods match specifications and quantities, and address any quality discrepancies.
- Maintain thorough documentation including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery records while working closely with site engineers, warehouse personnel, and finance staff.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a bachelor's or higher national diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or related areas.
- Have 2 to 4 years of practical procurement experience, ideally within construction or engineering environments.
- Demonstrate familiarity with construction materials and pricing dynamics, plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs.
- Exhibit excellent negotiation skills, effective communication, meticulous record maintenance, and capacity to manage multiple site orders simultaneously.
