Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager with 10 to 12 years of experience in the construction or contracting sector. The successful candidate will oversee all procurement and contract management aspects, ensuring smooth commercial negotiations, proper contractual administration, legal compliance, and effective management of vendors and subcontractors to support timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and issuance of purchase orders for construction projects.
- Prepare, examine, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Collaborate with legal teams to review contracts, assess risks, and guarantee adherence to laws and company policies.
- Conduct commercial assessments and cost analyses related to procurement packages and subcontract awards.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with vendors, subcontractors, and strategic suppliers.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies, project budgets, and contractual terms.
- Oversee contract execution including processing amendments, handling claims, managing variations, and resolving disputes.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, finance, legal, and planning teams to facilitate project delivery.
- Monitor procurement schedules to assure availability of materials and services when required.
- Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, contract files, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and procurement best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil), Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10 to 12 years of progressive experience in procurement and contract management specifically within construction, EPC, infrastructure, or contracting industries.
- Proven expertise in managing client contracts, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts.
- Strong knowledge of commercial terms, contract clauses, contract administration, and procurement methodologies.
- Experienced in tendering processes, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, and vendor administration.
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Experience working for reputable firms in construction, EPC, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness to minimize risks and manage diverse procurement packages on large construction projects.
- Excellent analytical abilities, negotiation prowess, and relationship management skills.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Compensation
Monthly salary ranges between 50,000 and 80,000 INR.
