Role overview
ASGC is hiring a seasoned Procurement Engineer specializing in MEP works to support major construction projects. The role calls for someone with solid experience in sourcing, supplier coordination, subcontract buying, and commercial discussions within a main contractor environment.
What you will do
- Handle procurement for MEP materials, equipment, and subcontract packages across several projects.
- Create and execute buying plans that balance cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery.
- Identify, assess, negotiate with, and manage vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable commercial terms.
- Draft and process RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and related commercial documents.
- Work in close coordination with Engineering, Commercial, Planning, Project, and Site teams so procurement supports uninterrupted execution.
- Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and overall procurement status, while anticipating and reducing supply-chain risks.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
- You should bring 8–12+ years of procurement experience in the MEP construction sector, specifically with a main contractor.
- Good working knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, local and global sourcing channels, and subcontract procurement is expected.
- Strong commercial judgment, negotiation ability, and contract management capability are essential.
- Practical experience using ERP platforms and procurement workflows is needed.
