Job description
Position Overview
The Procurement Analyst role is a part-time position located in Berlin, offering a hybrid work model with some opportunities to work remotely. This role focuses on overseeing and evaluating procurement processes to support effective purchasing aligned with ethical standards and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze procurement workflows, including creation and monitoring of purchase orders.
- Evaluate supplier performance to ensure reliability and adherence to sustainability and ethical benchmarks.
- Support contract discussions to obtain advantageous terms while fostering transparency and fairness.
- Gather and scrutinize procurement-related data, produce comprehensive reports, and suggest process enhancements to improve purchasing efficiency and supplier relations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to capture and understand purchasing demands, maintain accurate procurement documentation, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and requirements tied to non-profit funding.
- Align procurement decisions with Sana Social Innovation Center’s mission, emphasizing social impact and sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- Proven skills in procurement operations including purchase order management and supplier evaluation.
- Experience in negotiating contracts to achieve beneficial outcomes while upholding ethical practices.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret procurement data and derive actionable insights.
- Previous experience within non-profit or social impact sectors preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a hybrid work environment, managing multiple responsibilities with careful attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or similar disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
