Job description
Job Summary
We are looking to hire a meticulous and analytical Procurement Analyst to join our procurement team based in Germany. The successful candidate will assist with purchasing and sourcing by examining procurement data, evaluating supplier performance, tracking expenditures, and uncovering cost reduction opportunities. Collaboration with internal teams and suppliers is essential to maintain quality, compliance, and efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement and purchasing data to identify patterns, risks, and potential cost savings.
- Assist with sourcing efforts, supplier evaluation, and contract administration.
- Track supplier performance, delivery timings, and service standards.
- Generate procurement reports, dashboards, and spend analyses for leadership review.
- Help negotiate pricing, contract terms, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with finance, logistics, and operations departments to support procurement tasks.
- Conduct market research to discover potential suppliers and industry developments.
- Support inventory management and demand forecasting as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing procurement workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Economics, or closely related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or business data analysis is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a plus.
- Knowledge of ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to function independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient English language skills; German language proficiency is an added advantage but not required.
