Job description

About the role

Eurofins Umwelt Ost GmbH is looking to strengthen its team in the greater Leipzig area with a full-time, permanent Probenehmer (m/w/d) starting as soon as possible. The role sits within a modern laboratory environment focused on environmental analysis for chemical and microbiological testing of water, air, and solid materials. The company places strong emphasis on sustainability and on helping customers and public institutions improve environmental quality.

What you will do

  • Act as the on-site representative for Eurofins Umwelt and serve as the main contact person for customers on sampling-related matters.
  • Carry out professional and customer-friendly drinking water sampling.
  • Prepare sampling logs and records in line with current standards and applicable requirements.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining, caring for, and keeping work equipment and the sampling vehicle in proper condition.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement by actively identifying issues, tracing root causes, and helping prevent repeat errors.

What we are looking for

  • A solid technical understanding and a careful, responsible way of working.
  • Career changers who are eager to enter a new field are welcome.
  • Enthusiasm, physical resilience, flexibility, and a cooperative mindset.
  • Interest in digital tools and systems, along with a strong willingness to learn.
  • Dependability, commitment, and the ability to work independently, efficiently, and in a structured manner.
  • A valid class B driving licence so you can reach customers on site.
  • Very good German language skills, both spoken and written.

What you can expect

  • A long-term, varied position in a global company where no two days are the same.
  • An open culture with flat hierarchies, short decision paths, and a team environment that values collegiality.
  • Comprehensive onboarding tailored to your needs, including the required training sessions.
  • Regular review meetings to support your professional and personal development.
  • Benefits such as JobRad, Corporate Benefits, company pension support, and capital-forming benefits for Eurofins employees.
  • Regular team events such as summer parties and Christmas celebrations.
