Private Tutor and Nanny

Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site position in Dubai for a Private Tutor and Nanny. The role combines academic support with childcare, aiming to help a child grow in a structured, caring, and engaging home environment.

What you will do

You will design and deliver personalized learning sessions, support homework completion, and strengthen school learning through age-appropriate educational activities. Alongside tutoring, you will manage daily routines, supervise play, and help maintain a safe and supportive setting.

The position also includes coordinating the child’s schedule, accompanying them to relevant activities, encouraging positive conduct and social development, and keeping parents informed about progress and any concerns. You should also be comfortable adapting to family routines, traveling occasionally, and handling the role with discretion.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have solid tutoring ability, including lesson planning, homework help, and the capacity to reinforce core school subjects. Prior experience in childcare or nanny work is important, especially for managing routines, supervising activities, and creating a nurturing atmosphere.

Strong English communication skills are needed, both spoken and written, along with good listening, respectful interaction, and the ability to work closely with parents and children. You should also be organized, dependable, and able to adjust plans when family needs change.

Patience, emotional maturity, and a calm approach to behavior management are essential. The role also calls for cultural awareness, confidentiality, and professionalism in a private household.

A background in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field is preferred, together with experience as a tutor, teacher, or nanny. CPR/First Aid certification and basic child safety knowledge are advantageous.
