About the Firm
Our client is a middle-market private equity firm located in Dallas that invests across various industries including industrials, consumer products, business services, and healthcare. The firm focuses on founder and family-owned companies, aiming to enhance growth through operational improvements, strategic repositioning, and acquisitions. The team operates with a collaborative and hands-on approach throughout the entire deal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage financial models such as leveraged buyout analyses, integrated three-statement forecasts, and sensitivity analyses for returns.
- Perform comprehensive industry and company research to assess prospective investment opportunities.
- Assist with due diligence by coordinating efforts across legal, accounting, and consulting teams.
- Prepare investment committee presentations and board materials.
- Participate in sourcing deals by engaging with intermediaries and generating proprietary leads.
- Track portfolio company performance including variance analysis against budgets and key performance indicator reporting.
- Attend management meetings and conduct site visits during diligence phases and ongoing portfolio supervision.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or related transaction advisory roles.
- Proficient in financial modeling and valuation, with a strong grasp of leveraged buyout structures.
- Deal experience preferred on either the buy side, sell side, or both.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or a related discipline, with solid academic achievements.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of distilling complex concepts for senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Flexible to travel as required for diligence processes and portfolio company engagements.
