About the Role
The Community Recovery team is tasked with leading human and social recovery efforts, helping communities bounce back and remain resilient after experiencing natural disasters or traumatic incidents. As Principal Program Officer, you will oversee a team responsible for Planning, Intelligence, and Reporting functions.
Working closely with the Director of Strategy and Engagement, you will operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment, leveraging extensive experience in high-level support, coordination, and management of comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations to achieve Community Recovery objectives, ensuring the department can provide consistent, high-quality services.
- Lead and nurture your team to meet organisational goals by enhancing team capabilities through guidance, coaching, and professional growth opportunities, fostering an inclusive and collaborative workplace.
- Deliver strategic, tactical, and operational analyses, advice, and reports related to Community Recovery data collection, management, and performance.
- Design and execute business intelligence solutions and procedures that ensure departmental data and statistics are processed, presented, and communicated clearly and reliably to all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with communities of practice and external stakeholders, offering expert insights on data performance, reporting, and intelligence matters.
- Participate in data governance by evaluating and updating processes and methodologies involved in maintaining and reporting Community Recovery data.
- Contribute actively to strategic and business planning as a senior member of the Strategy and Engagement team, providing mentorship and leadership to colleagues.
- Prepare diverse high-quality written materials such as executive correspondence, briefing notes, speeches, and informational papers concerning Community Recovery programs.
