About the Opportunity
GEMS School Management (GSM) invites an exceptional educational leader to serve as the founding Principal of Bright Minds American Academy in Al Ain, UAE. This role marks a significant leadership opening where the successful candidate will spearhead the school's transition under GSM's management, focusing on academic excellence, operational effectiveness, student wellbeing, and sustainable growth.
Working alongside top executives, including the CEO and Senior Vice President of Academic Excellence, the Principal will help craft and realize a distinguished American curriculum vision bolstered by GSM's extensive resources and support infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the school's rebranding to Bright Minds American Academy
- Implement a comprehensive school improvement plan
- Enhance teaching quality and student learning outcomes
- Establish a culture emphasizing excellence and accountability
- Boost student enrollment and foster community trust
- Build and nurture a high-performing leadership team
- Prepare for successful accreditation and inspections
- Position the school as a premier American curriculum option in Al Ain
Candidate Profile
The ideal Principal will have proven expertise in school improvement and educational turnaround strategies, including in budget and performance management. A deep understanding of accreditation standards, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a dedication to safeguarding and student wellbeing are essential. Experience in UAE education, inspection leadership, international school operations, or managing school openings/rebranding are advantageous.
