Job description
About 2150
2150 backs companies building the technologies that are changing the physical economy. Its focus spans the systems that power energy, industrial production, mobility, logistics, construction, and the use of AI in essential physical infrastructure. The firm aims to support businesses that make these systems more effective, resilient, and sustainable while creating meaningful value for people and the planet.
With offices in London and Copenhagen, 2150 invests globally and manages €500 million in assets. It partners with ambitious founders creating category-defining businesses in major markets.
About the role
2150 is seeking a Principal to join the investment team in London. The firm has recently completed the final close of its new fund and is looking for an experienced investor who can help source, assess, win, and support exceptional opportunities across its core themes on both sides of the Atlantic.
This is a senior position for someone with strong venture judgment, business sense, analytical depth, and curiosity. The role calls for independent ownership of investment work, the ability to develop original views on complex markets, and the confidence to help shape the firm’s reputation externally. It also involves mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a high-performing team culture. The position is based in London and may require international travel.
What you will do
- Find and secure compelling investments by developing founder relationships and competing effectively for high-quality deals.
- Form clear investment viewpoints on where technology can transform large physical systems and identify promising companies early.
- Run full investment analysis and due diligence, covering the market, founders, business model, and key risks, and help move transactions forward.
- Work closely with portfolio companies on fundraising, hiring, go-to-market strategy, and scaling.
- Represent 2150 externally by building relationships with founders, investors, and the broader ecosystem.
- Help strengthen the team through leadership, process improvement, and a collaborative working style.
Candidate profile
2150 is looking for someone with venture investing experience, sound commercial judgment, analytical strength, and a genuine alignment with the firm’s mission. The ideal candidate will have observed strong investing closely and now wants greater ownership, broader responsibility, and a platform to help build.
What makes you a strong fit
- Background in venture capital or growth equity, with hands-on experience in sourcing, diligence, investment committee materials, transaction execution, and portfolio support.
- Strong commercial awareness, including a clear understanding of customer behavior, market dynamics, and the ingredients of venture-scale businesses.
- Solid analytical capability, with comfort in market sizing, financial modeling, unit economics, and competitive analysis.
- Thesis-led thinker with genuine curiosity about emerging and transformative technologies, plus the ability to synthesize complex information quickly.
- High ownership and low ego, able to work independently, challenge ideas constructively, and improve how the team operates.
- Strong founder instincts and the ability to build trust with ambitious entrepreneurs while representing 2150 credibly in competitive processes.
Diversity commitment
2150 is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds. The firm believes diverse perspectives lead to better investment decisions, stronger founder and investor relationships, and a deeper understanding of the markets it serves.
How to apply
Applications should be submitted as soon as possible and no later than 30 July 2026. Candidates are asked to provide a CV and answers to screening questions through the application process. For questions, Rahul Parekh can be contacted at [email protected].
