Overview

We seek a seasoned Java expert who excels both in architectural design and hands-on development to join our team. This role involves crafting scalable, high-performance enterprise applications primarily using Java and Jakarta EE technologies, embracing Domain-Driven Design and Cloud-Native system principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop enterprise-level applications utilizing Java SE (versions 11 to 21) and Jakarta EE frameworks.
  • Create and assess comprehensive architecture and design documentation, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and high performance.
  • Implement Domain-Driven Design to accurately represent complex business processes.
  • Design cloud-native microservices architecture with event-driven patterns, using cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Maintain system robustness and fault tolerance within distributed environments.
  • Lead and coach development teams on best practices including design patterns and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to transform business objectives into technical solutions.
  • Explore and integrate new technologies aimed at enhancing performance and scalability.
  • Perform thorough code reviews to uphold software quality and technical excellence.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of nine years of experience in Java and Jakarta EE software development.
  • Proficient with Java SE (11 to 21) and Jakarta EE technologies such as JPA, CDI, EJB, JAX-RS, and usage of Jakarta EE containers like WebSphere Liberty, Payara, or WildFly.
  • Strong background in microservices, Domain-Driven Design, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of event-driven systems, messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and API development with RESTful or GraphQL.
  • Experienced in CI/CD processes and DevOps tooling like Git and Jenkins.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and influence organizational stakeholders.

Additional Desired Experience

  • Familiarity with reactive programming frameworks such as Spring WebFlux, Quarkus, or Micronaut.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra, and in-memory data storage solutions such as Hazelcast or Redis.
  • Understanding of security protocols including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
  • Exposure to monitoring and observability technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
