About the Role
Kirklees Council is seeking a dedicated Premises Assistant for Beaumont Primary Academy located on Dryclough Road, Huddersfield. This permanent role involves working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, initially on a split shift basis. The position is graded Grade 6, scale point 7, with an annual salary of A326,403.
Beaumont Primary Academy is a vibrant school community committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children across Reception to Year 6, with an attached nursery offering flexible sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support with maintenance, cleaning, health and safety, and security across the school premises.
- Carry out general site duties, including some manual handling tasks, using appropriate equipment.
- Perform minor decorating jobs to maintain the school's appearance.
- Serve as a key holder, which includes occasional out-of-hours work compensated accordingly.
- Collaborate with the premises team to ensure the site is safe, welcoming, and well maintained.
Candidate Profile
- Exhibit a flexible and enthusiastic attitude towards work.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in school facilities management is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Willingness and capability to perform manual handling responsibilities safely using provided equipment.
