Job description

Company overview

Wedding Weekender is changing the way wedding videography is done by giving couples a more genuine and budget-friendly way to capture their entire wedding weekend. The company sends camcorders to family and friends so they can record the celebration, then its team sorts through the footage and turns it into a wedding film that reflects each couple’s own story.

This is a fast-scaling creative startup that is building a repeatable post-production workflow to deliver polished, on-brand wedding films at scale. The company has already been highlighted by major publications including the New York Times, Vogue Weddings, and Martha Stewart Weddings. It is seeking a detail-focused, creative Post-Production Specialist to help produce beautiful films and uphold the quality standards that keep each project personal and refined.

Role summary

This is a full-time, remote-friendly position for a Post-Production Specialist at Wedding Weekender. The role centers on editing wedding films and reviewing other video deliverables from initial brief through final handoff, with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and brand consistency.

You will partner closely with the Director of Post-Production and the Post-Production Coordinator, contributing both to individual projects and to the overall creative quality of the team’s output.

Responsibilities

  • Assess edits for narrative flow, pacing, and alignment with the brand’s creative style.
  • Give editors specific, practical notes that can be acted on quickly.
  • Approve work when it is ready or send it back for revisions when needed.
  • Maintain a consistent standard across all final deliverables.
  • Build video outputs from client briefs.
  • Make sure every deliverable follows Wedding Weekender’s brand guidelines.
  • Help uphold and apply the company’s creative direction.
  • Spot missing pieces in the guidelines and recommend ways to improve them.
  • Bring in ideas, references, and inspiration that can raise the quality of future edits.
  • Work with the social team to create reels and other short-form content.
  • Identify and tag useful clips that can be repurposed for social media.

Requirements

  • Proven background in video editing, with strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io-based review workflows.
  • Wedding videography or documentary-style storytelling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience evaluating edits and delivering constructive feedback.
  • Strong creative instincts around pacing, story structure, and editorial flow.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work smoothly with a remote team.
  • Comfort handling several projects at once in a fast-moving environment.

What success looks like

  • Deliverables consistently meet quality expectations before they are sent to clients.
  • Creative consistency is maintained across films and other outputs.
  • Editors receive clear feedback efficiently and improve through iteration.
  • Work is completed on schedule and reflects the company’s creative standards.

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience, with an estimated full-time U.S.-based range of $50,000 to $65,000 annually.
  • Flexible remote work arrangement.
  • Paid time off and company holidays in line with company policy.
  • Chance to influence the creative direction of a fast-growing wedding brand.
  • Potential for the role to expand as the company continues to grow.
