Job description

Overview

Mindrift brings subject-matter specialists into project-based AI work for major technology companies. The focus is on checking, assessing, and helping refine AI systems. This is a project engagement rather than a permanent job.

Applicants should send a CV in English and clearly mention their English proficiency level.

What the work may include

  • Building and reviewing Quarterly Business Review scenarios, including performance versus benchmark, allocation drift relative to IPS tolerance bands, and significant changes in fund documents.
  • Preparing rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting test cases that cover cost basis, short-term and long-term capital gains, and the wash-sale rule.
  • Creating suitability review cases that examine risk appetite, time horizon, restricted holdings, and concentration limits against a client's Investment Policy Statement.
  • Developing fee analysis scenarios that compare portfolio-weighted expense ratios, advisory charges, and total cost against category benchmarks.
  • Writing test cases in a clear way with validated calculations, policy references, and accurate answers.

Candidate profile

This opportunity suits people with experience in investment management, financial advisory, or wider financial services who are open to part-time, non-permanent project work.

Preferred background includes a degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar discipline, along with at least 2 years of experience in finance, investing, accounting, or financial services. Current or recent exposure to advisory, management, or closely related roles is preferred.

Practical familiarity with portfolio performance review, tax-lot accounting, wash-sale rules, and Investment Policy Statements is important. Certifications such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, CIMA, or CIPM are considered a strong advantage.

Strong written English at C1 level or above is expected.

How the process works

The typical flow is: apply, complete the qualification steps, join a project, finish assigned tasks, and receive payment.

Time commitment

During active project phases, the expected workload is approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. This is only an estimate and is not a guaranteed schedule.

Compensation

Compensation can reach the equivalent of $60 per hour, depending on the contributor's level and speed. Pay differs from project to project based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
