Role overview
In this position, you will work closely with Financial Advisors, Private Wealth Advisors, and their teams to deliver high-touch service and help shape client financial plans and investment approaches. The role is centered on putting the client first, maintaining strong relationships, and supporting a premium client experience.
You will need a solid grasp of market movements, broader economic conditions, and investment trends so you can contribute effectively to the team’s advisory work.
Key responsibilities
- Support the team by adding new asset allocations or updating existing ones when directed by the FA/PWA/team.
- Prepare and review client-facing reports for current or prospective clients using systems approved by the firm, when requested by the client or the advisory team.
- Assist with research tasks through firm-approved tools as needed.
- Join existing or prospective client meetings when asked, representing the service perspective.
- Update estate, trust, retirement, and insurance-related client objectives when directed by the client or advisory team.
- Review new prospects generated through leads and referrals in line with the team’s client service approach.
- Carry out the administrative parts of digital and in-person marketing efforts, including conferences, seminars or webinars, websites, social channels, and regular email outreach.
- Share feedback and recommend improvements to portfolio management partners regarding firm-approved tools and resources.
Experience, education, and licensing
This role asks for at least 2 years of experience in a related field. A four-year college degree or a professional certification is preferred.
An active Series 7 license and either Series 66 or the Series 63 plus Series 65 combination are required. Additional product licenses may also be needed.
Skills and working style
The ideal candidate understands financial services products such as equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accounts. They should be comfortable learning new platforms quickly, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
Strong computer skills are important, especially with MS Office, including Excel, as well as internet-based applications. Excellent writing, communication, and client service skills are essential, along with good time management, teamwork, adaptability, multitasking ability, and a self-driven, goal-focused mindset.
Reporting line
This role reports to the Business Service Officer.
Compensation and benefits
The expected base pay range for this role is $68,000 to $120,000 per year at the start of employment. Actual pay is determined individually and may be supplemented by commission, incentive pay, discretionary bonuses, and short- or long-term incentive programs, along with other company-sponsored benefits.
