Job description

Role overview

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating the global infrastructure that powers AWS. The team supports data centers and the server, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems that keep cloud services available for customers. The work involves highly complex supply-chain challenges and requires people who can help maintain reliability at scale.

You will join a broad mix of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain professionals, security specialists, operations leaders, and other essential functions. The environment is collaborative, fast moving, and focused on delivering strong safety and security standards while optimizing cost and capacity. AWS also emphasizes an inclusive workplace where people are encouraged to bring ideas forward and see them through.

The Global Data Center Supply Solutions team is hiring an experienced Portfolio Associate for a position based in London or Dublin. This role sits within the Strategic Portfolio Management team and focuses on monitoring and reviewing the operational, financial, and contractual performance of an expanding portfolio across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. You will work closely with landlords, vendors, and internal partner groups to keep portfolio records accurate, reduce risk, and support portfolio optimization.

What the role involves

  • Checking, auditing, and processing rent payments in accordance with internal spend and transaction rules as well as contract terms, ensuring landlords and vendors meet their obligations.
  • Preparing and running weekly, monthly, or quarterly reviews with vendors and partner teams.
  • Building productive relationships with internal stakeholders and delivering outcomes that require coordination across multiple teams.
  • Managing the onboarding process for new landlords and vendors, including payment setup tracking.
  • Reading and interpreting complex commercial lease language covering obligations, service levels, rent, tax, insurance, and maintenance provisions.
  • Reviewing contract documents and pulling out key data points for accurate abstraction and record keeping.
  • Supporting the leased portfolio team with additional administrative work as needed.

Profile and background

AWS notes that candidates with different career paths and varied experience are welcome to apply, even if their background is non-traditional or they do not meet every listed qualification.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and comfortable working independently in a highly fast-paced setting where priorities can change quickly and ambiguity is common.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Real Estate, or a related discipline is required.
  • Hands-on experience using commercial real estate platforms such as Tango, Yardi, or MRI is required.
  • Prior exposure to lease language interpretation, lease date tracking, and lease negotiations is preferred.
  • Experience handling lease administration processes is preferred.
  • Background in commercial real estate or lease administration within industrial, commercial, or data center environments is preferred.

Culture and growth

AWS describes its workplace as inclusive and supportive, with employee-led affinity groups, learning opportunities, mentorship, and career-development resources. The company also highlights a focus on work-life harmony and flexibility. Additional inclusion initiatives and events are used to encourage connection, diverse perspectives, and collaboration.

Equal opportunity and privacy

Amazon is committed to equal employment opportunity and makes hiring decisions based on experience and skills. The company states that it does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Candidate privacy and data security are presented as long-standing priorities. If accommodation is needed during the application, interview, or onboarding process, support is available through the company’s accommodation process.
