Job description
About the Opportunity
This freelance assignment supports the personal brand of Zainab Mounabbah, cofounder and Chief Marketing Officer at Hyprwork, a fast-growing operator behind direct-to-consumer health and wellness brands and a Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe honoree. She is starting a new interview-led podcast and needs an experienced video editor to transform raw footage into polished episodes for YouTube, plus short clips for social media. The show will feature founders, creators, and operators in conversation, so the edit must feel current, polished, and consistent from episode one.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of post-production for a brand-new interview series. Working from raw multi-camera and audio recordings, you will shape finished YouTube-ready episodes by refining the pacing and structure, cleaning up sound, correcting color, and adding the graphics and finishing touches that create a unified channel identity. In addition to the long-form edit, you will turn each recording into vertical short-form content for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, with strong hooks in the opening seconds to support audience growth. Since this is an early-stage series, you will help define the visual style from the first episode rather than following an existing template. This is a practical, portfolio-driven role for someone who enjoys conversation-based content and values a clean professional finish.
Key Ownership Areas
- Turn raw footage into polished full-length podcast episodes, including syncing multiple cameras, tightening pacing, improving clarity, and removing pauses, filler words, and errors.
- Balance and clean audio across speakers, reduce background noise, and deliver broadcast-quality sound.
- Apply color correction and grading to keep the series visually consistent and premium.
- Add openings and endings, lower thirds, guest-name graphics, titles, chapter markers, captions and subtitles, B-roll, and subtle motion graphics that support the brand.
- Create vertical short clips from each episode for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, formatted and captioned for social distribution.
- Export final files to the required specs for each platform.
- Keep footage and project files organized, manage versions carefully, and handle revision rounds efficiently.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity and steadily improve the production value of the channel over time.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience editing podcasts or other long-form interview content, with a portfolio or reel of published work that can be reviewed.
- Strong English ability, both spoken and written, to follow conversational content, refine captions, and communicate with the host.
- Advanced proficiency with a professional editing tool such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro; motion-graphics experience with After Effects or a similar tool is a plus.
- Comfort working with multi-camera edits, audio cleanup, and color grading.
- Experience creating short-form vertical clips from longer recordings.
- Ability to add captions and subtitles accurately.
- Good sense of pacing, narrative flow, and a modern premium visual style.
- Dependable, communicative, deadline-oriented, and comfortable working remotely and asynchronously while incorporating feedback through revisions.
- Ability to overlap with a UAE- and Europe-friendly time window for occasional live calls with the host.
- A portfolio is mandatory, with links to published podcast or long-form projects and a note for each item explaining your role and who the work was for.
Preferred Skills
- YouTube packaging and thumbnail design.
- Creating brand kits or motion-graphics systems from scratch.
- Editing for founder-led, business, or personal-brand channels, especially in health and wellness.
- Understanding of YouTube retention editing, hooks, and chaptering.
- Access to licensed music and sound-effect libraries.
Benefits
- Flexible freelance work that is fully remote and paid on an hourly basis.
- Direct collaboration with a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder on a podcast being built from the ground up.
- An initial set of episodes with strong potential for ongoing work if the collaboration is a good fit.
- Creative ownership over the look and feel of a growing channel.
- Fast decisions from the founder with minimal bureaucracy.
- Payment in USD through Wise, or via your preferred USD account or virtual wallet, including Payoneer, PayPal, or a USD bank account.
Additional Information
This is a freelance engagement based in Lithuania, with remote collaboration as the working mode. The role is part-time in nature. The assignment is centered on launching a new podcast and shaping its post-production style from the beginning.
