Role overview

As the Platform Owner for Public Cloud, you will shape and run cloud engineering and operations in support of secure, self-service platforms that help product teams deliver faster and create more value for customers. This position combines strategic leadership, hands-on technical direction, governance, and team development.

What you'll do

• Lead and grow cloud engineering and operations, working with strategic technology vendors to deliver secure self-service cloud capabilities.
• Set and enforce cloud governance, standards, and controls covering cost, security operations, deployment quality, compliance, and policy adherence.
• Improve operational performance by defining and tracking metrics for availability, utilization, SLA delivery, service transition, and security posture.
• Provide technical direction for cloud strategy and architecture, handle complex escalations, and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
• Develop high-performing teams through line management, coaching, mentoring, talent planning, and a servant-leadership approach.
• Support cloud transformation efforts by aligning roadmaps, backlogs, and operating models with business goals and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners.

What you need to bring

• At least 8 years of leadership experience across cloud engineering and/or SRE teams, with a strong background in enterprise-scale systems and operational environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including secure and resilient design using PaaS, serverless, containers, and Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred; familiarity with GCP is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of cloud financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, optimization, and governance for security, compliance, and policy enforcement.
• Advanced capability in DevOps, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, reliability engineering, and enterprise-grade deployment practices.
• Ability to spot emerging technologies, convert them into business value, drive change, and lead transformation initiatives.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder skills, including vendor management, mentoring engineering communities, problem solving, and delivering across multiple workstreams.
