Role overview
The Planning & Allocation Manager will help shape in-season business decisions and build future financial plans that support business goals. This position works closely with Merchandising, Planning, and Inventory & Allocation teams, with particular attention on in-region inventory flow and analysis across the UK and Europe.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside international merchandising and planning teams to define strategy, targets, KPIs, markdown approach, sell-through improvement, and forward planning.
- Create weekly sales reviews at style and style/color level using trend and historical data to guide in-season inventory decisions.
- Assess business performance and suggest actions that improve sales, profitability, inventory turns, and risk control.
- Strengthen analytical capability by improving conclusions and recommendations that support important milestone meetings for the international business.
- Build effective relationships with global counterparts to keep strategy and tools aligned, share proven practices, and support a high-performing, innovative culture.
- Advance regional inventory processes and systems so they better suit a changing market and improve efficiency and results.
- Own store allocation and inventory movement within the region across full-price and outlet locations.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, business, supply chain, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience in retail planning, inventory management, financial planning, or production planning.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, along with familiarity with planning, finance, or analytical tools and systems.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and contribute effectively in a highly collaborative role.
- Proven capacity to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and perform well in a fast-paced setting.
- Skilled at identifying key stakeholders, solving problems proactively, and proposing practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including the skill to explain complex information clearly to different audiences.
