Job description

Overview

Join our Henderson Rehabilitation Unit as a Physiotherapist and be part of a dedicated, innovative team committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. Our patients receive rehabilitation and recovery support when they are unable to return home safely following a hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent, thorough physiotherapeutic assessments and manage your own patient caseload within your professional scope.
  • Manage and prioritize your workload independently; supervise rehabilitation workers, assistants, and students as necessary.
  • Support service users in setting realistic and appropriate rehabilitation goals.
  • Develop and deliver personalized treatment programs using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient records, both electronic and paper, adhering to guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Nurses, GPs, Allied Health Professionals, and Social Care providers to meet patient goals.
  • Communicate and coordinate care management to support service users appropriately.
  • Delegate tasks and oversee implementation of physiotherapy treatment plans by Rehabilitation Workers, Assistants, and Technicians.
  • Order and manage patient equipment, ensuring safe and suitable usage, and report any equipment concerns promptly.
