Overview
The role involves developing and implementing physiotherapy treatment plans to relieve pain, restore patient functionality, prevent disabilities, and enhance overall health and fitness.
Contract Details
This is a permanent position with a contract duration of two years. The workplace is located across AlAin, AbuDhabi, Western Region, and Dubai.
Work Schedule
The job requires working 12-hour shifts with 6 days off monthly.
Reporting
This role reports directly to management.
Qualifications
- A graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program is mandatory.
- Possession of a valid HAAD Physical Therapist license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum of two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist or a related role.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of physical therapy principles and standard practices.
- Proficient with relevant computer applications.
Additional Requirements
- Current CPR certification must be maintained.
- Efficient multitasking capabilities under pressure.
- Composure and effectiveness in high-stress or busy scenarios.
- Proficient communication skills in English and basic Arabic, including verbal, written, and phone correspondence.
- Strict adherence to workplace policies regarding safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal grooming.
Physical Demands
- Adequate hearing for in-person and telephone communication.
- Clear verbal communication abilities with patients in person and over the phone.
- Good visual acuity necessary for patient exams and reading documents/screens.
- Regular lifting and handling of objects up to 30 pounds without assistance, including aiding patients.
- Manual dexterity required for healthcare procedures, such as administering injections.
- Frequent physical activities include bending, reaching, repetitive hand motions, standing, walking, squatting, sitting, and occasional heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout shifts.
- Exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medications, and other clinical environment-specific elements.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver superior physiotherapy services by designing, applying, and evaluating customized treatment programs using techniques such as manual therapy, patient education, and exercise sessions.
- Conduct thorough assessments, including complex cases, employing investigative and analytical skills to develop tailored management plans using clinical reasoning.
- Measure and document patient strength, motor abilities, sensory perception, functional capacity, and cardiorespiratory function.
- Monitor patient progress, re-evaluate, and adjust treatment plans as necessary while analyzing data to handle complex clinical issues.
- Develop accurate prognoses and suggest optimal intervention strategies, along with detailed discharge plans.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records following monitoring guidelines.
- Regularly inspect and report on medical equipment condition, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Manage supply inventory, ensure organized stock rotation, remove expired items, notify supervisors of shortages promptly, and oversee ordering and approval processes.
- Accompany patients for physiotherapy needs within and beyond UAE borders whenever required.
