Their offerings include extensive pharmacy services, pharmacy benefit management, and specialized support for the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).
Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Support Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging service gaps by delivering essential support to PACE clients and participants within affiliated facilities and network pharmacies. Key functions include:
- Assisting with enrollment for new PACE participants.
- Relaying pharmacy benefit information to contracted network pharmacies serving facility residents.
- Managing medication reconciliation and coordinating medication delivery during facility discharges.
- Providing help desk support to network pharmacies.
- Educating PACE staff about CareKinesis and processes related to network pharmacies.
- Making outbound calls to collect or verify information needed for customer requests and pharmacy operations.
- Organizing courier services to ensure prompt medication deliveries.
- Following up through outgoing calls to confirm participants have received their medications.
- Upholding AnewHealth's core values in all communications and interactions.
- Performing additional duties as assigned, in line with department needs and the job’s knowledge and skills requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Minimum educational requirement: High school diploma.
- At least two years of customer service experience, preferably within healthcare.
- Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities to engage professionally with staff, clients, and representatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate proprietary software effectively.
- A dedicated patient-centered approach.
- Exceptional phone communication and interpersonal relationship-building skills.
- Basic understanding of clinical terminology and its implications.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities without compromising quality.
- Attention to detail and organizational aptitude.
- Dependability and efficiency in work performance.
Work Schedule and Conditions
This is a full-time role with the following work hours: Tuesday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, averaging around 40 hours per week. Candidates should be willing to work beyond standard hours as needed to meet client expectations. Occasional travel for organizational events or client engagements may be required. The position is fully remote.
