Job description
About Eden Pharmacy
Eden Pharmacy is focused on addressing the metabolic health crisis affecting 80 million Americans, with $600 billion annually spent on related medical costs. We pursue safe and scientifically supported treatments within a culture emphasizing risk-taking, empowerment, and transparency.
Role Overview
In this position, you will fully manage Eden's pharmacy partner network, handling everything from sourcing and negotiating contracts to ensuring redundant supply coverage across all drugs and states. Your work will directly impact fulfillment service levels as the company scales. The role involves hands-on negotiation with pharmacy partners, system development for real-time cost and fulfillment monitoring, and acting as the key liaison between internal and external pharmacy and EMR collaborators.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and onboard 503A/503B pharmacy partners, leading all commercial contract discussions including pricing and service agreements.
- Create and maintain a backup partner pipeline to avoid dependence on single sources per drug/state.
- Manage daily partner relations and conduct quarterly business reviews.
- Oversee comprehensive cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting including price verification, product mapping, and margin analysis; negotiate volume-based discounts and pricing reductions.
- Maintain a current drug-by-state-by-partner coverage matrix to eliminate supply vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with Legal, Clinical, and Regulatory teams on compliance aspects such as licensing and state requirements.
- Define and enforce fulfillment service level agreements (SLAs) focusing on key metrics like fill rate and on-time shipment, and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Implement systems for daily cost tracking by pharmacy/SKU/state and refine invoice review processes to prevent errors prior to payments.
- Create detailed standard operating procedures and contingency playbooks to minimize escalations.
- Work closely with Data and Technology teams to develop dashboards for SLA tracking, cost management, invoice reconciliation, and improve order routing and EMR integrations.
Performance Goals
- Ensure a minimum of two qualified partners per active drug-state combination.
- Achieve fulfillment rates and on-time shipments at or above 98%.
- Deliver year-over-year reductions in cost of goods sold on primary SKUs.
- Maintain invoice approval accuracy of at least 99% without manual adjustments.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in supply chain, pharmacy operations, procurement, or a related field.
- Proven success in vendor sourcing and negotiating pricing, SLAs, and contracts.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience creating reports to support negotiation strategies.
- Experience managing partner relationships operationally.
- Proactive mindset focused on developing repeatable processes and automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience managing 503A/503B pharmacy partners and tracking Beyond-Use Dates (BUD).
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Omni, Looker, Tableau, and SQL skills.
- Background in telehealth, digital healthcare, or direct-to-consumer healthcare sectors.
First 90 Days Objectives
- Document the existing drug-by-state coverage, identify critical single-source risks, and assume responsibility for partner interactions.
- Compile a detailed comprehensive COGS report with SKU mapping and prioritize negotiation targets.
- Collaborate with Data and Tech teams to launch daily cost tracking and SLA dashboards, closing at least one redundancy gap.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers an annual base salary between $50,000 and $90,000, equity participation, extensive health benefits, and provides a flexible hybrid work arrangement. Compensation is calibrated based on role, experience, interview performance, and geographic location.
