Role overview
An established insurance brokerage in Drogheda is looking to hire a Personal Lines Broker for an office-based position. The role involves looking after a portfolio of personal insurance products, including motor, home, travel, and related cover.
The successful candidate will handle renewals, new business, and policy changes while maintaining a consistently high standard of client service and working in close coordination with both customers and insurers.
Key duties
- Oversee renewals, quote new business, and process mid-term policy changes for a personal lines portfolio.
- Check policy paperwork, endorsements, and the level of cover required.
- Work with insurers to obtain appropriate protection and competitive pricing for clients.
- Develop and nurture effective working relationships with clients and insurance companies.
- Offer informed insurance guidance and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Follow all relevant compliance and regulatory obligations.
- Keep client files and policy records accurate and up to date.
- Provide strong customer service across the full policy journey.
Candidate profile
- APA qualified, with CIP studies in progress or a willingness to work toward them.
- Prior experience in personal lines insurance is required.
- Good client-handling and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and solid organisational skills.
- Comfortable working on your own as well as within a team.
- Effective communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Experience with Relay software would be an advantage.
- Professional, driven, and committed to delivering excellent service.
