Job description
Role overview
This is a permanent, full-time claims position based in Ireland, with a preference for candidates who are Dublin-based. That said, there is real flexibility for strong personal injury handlers who can quickly take ownership of a portfolio after onboarding, so location should not prevent experienced candidates from applying.
The hiring employers are insurance groups that are expanding their injury claims teams. They are looking for people with solid motor claims experience who can work independently, investigate files thoroughly and handle claims in a structured, high-growth setting.
What the job involves
- Taking ownership of a portfolio of motor injury claims from first notice through to settlement.
- Carrying out detailed investigations, including evidence review, claim research and follow-up with the relevant parties.
- Serving as the main contact for customers, solicitors, medical specialists and the IRB.
- Evaluating liability, indemnity and quantum on each file.
- Working alongside senior technical leads and contributing to a high-performing claims function.
Candidate profile
- You should have at least 3 years of experience handling personal injury motor claims.
- CIP qualification is preferred, or you should be close to completing it.
- A strong grasp of indemnity, liability and quantum is important.
- You need to communicate confidently and manage stakeholders well.
- The role suits someone who enjoys proactive, investigative claims work.
Pay and employment details
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with a salary in the range of €45,000 to €65,000 DOE.
Benefits and support
- Hybrid working with strong flexibility to work from home once training is complete.
- 25 days of annual leave.
- Pension contributions, typically 2% matched up to 5%.
- Study support that includes 1 to 2 days of study leave per exam, plus coverage of membership and exam fees.
- A clear team structure, strong leadership and real scope for progression.
- Employers are investing heavily in growth, performance and proper team support.
- The client has grown by more than 100% over the past 2 years and is scaling its claims operations with experienced people at the centre.
