Job description
Role overview
Join a major global insurance firm as a Personal Assistant supporting two senior C-suite leaders on a 13–14 month maternity cover. This position is based in the City of London with a hybrid working pattern and is scheduled to begin in August. The salary range is £58,000 to £62,000, depending on experience.
This opportunity suits a refined, proactive PA who has already supported senior executives in insurance, reinsurance, or a broader financial services setting. The right person will be highly organised, commercially minded, comfortable balancing shifting demands, and able to act as a dependable partner to two busy executives.
Applicants who can start immediately or at short notice are especially encouraged to consider this role.
What you will do
You will keep the day-to-day agenda of two C-suite executives running smoothly, delivering high-quality administrative and business support in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Manage complex calendars and overflowing inboxes with accuracy and discretion
- Organise meetings for senior stakeholders, making sure agendas, timing and logistics are fully coordinated
- Draft correspondence, reports and presentation materials
- Support the planning and execution of corporate events such as Charity Days, executive away days and board dinners
- Arrange domestic and international travel itineraries
- Handle expenses and related administration
- Maintain records and documents across SharePoint and internal systems
- Step in with ad hoc support for the wider executive team when needed
What the employer is looking for
To be successful, you should have at least 3–5 years of experience supporting two or more C-suite executives. Experience in insurance or reinsurance is preferred, though candidates from other financial services backgrounds will also be considered.
You’ll need excellent organisational ability, confidence in managing evolving priorities, and a calm, solution-oriented mindset. Strong written and spoken communication skills are essential, along with a collaborative approach and a genuine team attitude. Advanced IT capability is also important, particularly with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Workday and Microsoft Copilot.
Team and environment
You’ll be part of a collaborative assistant community led by an experienced EA Manager within a highly regarded organisation. The executive leadership team is approachable and professional, and values strong working partnerships with their assistants. The role is busy and varied, but supported by a friendly, established environment.
