Role Overview

The company is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join the team, focusing on employee data management, new employee onboarding, responding to HR inquiries, and supporting reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and respond to employee and manager questions received via several HR and payroll communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS platforms including AS400 and Dayforce for actions such as transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, and terminations.
  • Oversee the onboarding workflow, ensuring smooth data transfer from ICIMS to AS400 systems to facilitate new hires.
  • Examine employee change requests for completeness and appropriate approvals.
  • Organize incoming mail and process payroll-related documents like garnishments for uploading to ADP systems.
  • Take part in cross-training efforts across People Operations to broaden understanding of various department functions.
  • Help generate and distribute HR and payroll reports on daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes.
  • Manage and contribute to special projects within the People Operations department to gain exposure to different initiatives.
  • Support the coordination and execution of New Metropolite Orientation (NMO) including IT setup for onboarding new employees.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of one year of professional experience in a corporate environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, with working knowledge of Google Workspace applications.
  • Basic comprehension of HR or People data management principles.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong accuracy skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills to juggle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and use HRIS platforms such as AS400, Dayforce, and ICIMS along with reporting tools.
  • Experience using AI technologies to upgrade standard workflows into dynamic, efficient processes.

Work Model

The role requires working onsite at the Chicago office at least four days per week to promote collaboration, innovation, and community within the corporate team.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage for this position ranges from $24 to $29 USD, depending on factors such as applicant qualifications, experience, education, and certifications. Additional compensation includes healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, disability coverage, life insurance, stock options, bonus plans, and more.
