Role Summary
EY is seeking an experienced Manager to join its People Consulting practice in Auckland or Wellington. The role calls for fresh thinking and a strong, innovative mindset to help lead a high-performing team. The team advises clients on some of their most complex people-related issues.
As a Manager, you will work in engagement teams to deliver workforce solutions and manage projects across the full change lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring proven experience in delivering demanding projects across a broad range of organisations.
- Develop solutions, shape implementation plans, prepare recommendations and reports, and present to clients.
- Oversee complex project delivery, use sound judgement to resolve issues, and keep people-focused initiatives on track.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to advise and support change and learning programmes.
- Coach and support Consultants and Senior Consultants through guidance, feedback, and learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience across change, HR, and talent transformation, including change strategy, stakeholder engagement, communications, business readiness, learning design, employee experience, HR strategy, HR technology, payroll, outsourcing, process improvement, risk, operating model design, organisation design, workforce planning, analytics, retention, and succession planning.
- At least 5 years of consulting experience, with a strong record of building client relationships and delivering tailored, value-focused solutions.
- Strong commercial and strategic judgement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and use storytelling effectively.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Experience using digital platforms such as SAP, Microsoft, and ServiceNow, as well as emerging technologies like AI to support transformation and data-led decisions.
- Experience with clients in retail, consumer, or manufacturing sectors will be an advantage.
- Relevant change-management and delivery certifications are highly preferred, such as AIM, CPCM, ATD Change Management Certificate, PROSCI, CCMP, APMG, Agile Change Management, PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma.
