Role overview
This position is responsible for running accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations across OASIS Group. The work includes full-cycle payroll processing for the assigned countries, applying strong controls, and coordinating mandatory and third-party payments such as PAYE/social security, pensions, and other deductions. You will also handle payroll-related questions and make sure reporting is completed correctly and delivered to the relevant external parties within deadlines.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Candidates must have prior experience processing UK payroll in-house.
Key responsibilities
- Manage complete monthly payroll processing for allocated payrolls, such as Ireland and the UK, while maintaining accuracy, punctuality, and compliance.
- Check and confirm payroll input data, including time and attendance, new starters and leavers, pay adjustments, allowances, overtime, expenses, benefits, and deductions, making sure approvals are in place.
- Calculate payroll elements such as tax, benefits in kind, pensions, statutory leave, and any other local legal obligations, ensuring each item is treated and documented correctly.
- Work with external payroll providers for Belgium and the Netherlands by supplying correct inputs, reviewing outputs, investigating differences, and approving payslips and reports.
- Prepare, review, and authorise payroll outputs, including payslips, payroll journals, costing reports, and statutory or third-party returns and payments.
- Create and verify bank payment files, and ensure payment runs are signed off according to internal controls and deadlines.
- Keep payroll controls strong through reconciliations, audit support, exception reporting, and proper documentation of critical processes.
- Serve as the main contact for payroll queries and resolve issues quickly while maintaining a high level of service for employees and stakeholders.
- Support month-end close by supplying payroll reports and responding to queries from other departments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records in line with GDPR and company policies.
- Update payroll master data and assist with system upgrades, testing, and improvements or automation, including work on Megapay.
- Support internal and external audits as well as statutory inspections by providing information and evidence promptly.
Candidate requirements
- Experience in a payroll position with responsibility for end-to-end processing and a solid understanding of payroll controls.
- Good knowledge of Irish payroll rules, including PAYE, PRSI, and USC, and UK payroll rules, including PAYE and NI, with the ability to apply the relevant legislation.
- Background in handling multi-country payrolls and/or working with third-party payroll providers.
- Strong Excel ability and experience preparing payroll and management reports.
- Experience using payroll systems such as Megapay or a similar platform, along with strong data accuracy and quality focus.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong deadline management, and careful handling of sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a service-oriented approach.
- IPASS qualification is essential.
- UKG Kronos and Megapay familiarity would be an advantage.
- Strong general education with good numeracy and literacy skills.
Additional information
This role is based in Swords, County Dublin, Ireland and is an onsite contract position.
The role requires experience in house processing of UK payrolls.
