About the team

The Payroll function sits within Finance Operations and supports a rapidly expanding workforce. This team works closely with internal partners across the business and external service providers to keep payroll operations running smoothly. The role offers exposure to broader company operations and a chance to build practical business and finance expertise while contributing to high-quality outcomes.

What you will do

  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data collection, processing, and completion of payroll cycles.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of payroll changes such as new hires, exits, compensation updates, and benefit-related payments in line with local statutory rules and company policies.
  • Work closely with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to make sure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Check, confirm, and match payroll input and output files received from service providers before and after processing.
  • Complete payroll inputs according to the payroll calendar and all payment deadlines.
  • Prepare ad hoc payroll reports when required.
  • Support year-end payroll activities so filings are accurate and submitted within legal deadlines.
  • Submit monthly government surveys as needed.
  • Coordinate with People & Culture teams, including benefits and compensation, as well as external contacts such as government bodies and law firms.
  • Follow up with managers and employees when personal information is missing or incorrect.
  • Handle payroll-related questions from managers and employees promptly and professionally.
  • Keep current with labour legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, including payroll and regulatory reviews, by providing the required information.
  • Contribute to payroll-related projects and other assigned tasks.
  • Escalate pay errors or issues immediately and suggest possible corrective actions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar payroll role.
  • A payroll certification or designation is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with HR, payroll, and time/leave management systems.
  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, ADP Payroll, or Immedis is an advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Well-developed organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional discretion and strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
