About Us
Nuvare Consultancy is a dynamic and modern tax advisory and accounting firm situated in the southern part of Cologne. We specialize in providing integrated advisory and payroll services to approximately 60-70 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Our firm fosters a collegial, family-like atmosphere while maintaining a clear growth trajectory and utilizing fully digitalized processes. We are committed to client satisfaction, reliability, and genuine employee appreciation, offering a comprehensive benefits package and defined career advancement opportunities within our expanding payroll department. We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. While full-time is preferred, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements of 30-35 hours per week for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll cycle for assigned clients independently, utilizing DATEV software for monthly processing.
- Ensure the accuracy and maintenance of employee master data, including all variable payroll elements such as bonuses, allowances, fringe benefits, and statutory deductions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for external clients, addressing inquiries related to payroll, wage tax, and social security matters.
- Liaise effectively and punctually with social insurance institutions, tax authorities, and other governmental bodies, and provide support during payroll tax and social security audits.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing digitalization of our payroll processes and the optimization of workflows.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Possess 1-3 years of professional experience in German payroll processing, with a preference for experience in multi-client or agency environments.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of German wage tax and social security legislation.
- Have practical experience with DATEV (LODAS) or similar payroll software.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with authorities and clients in German, with a minimum C1 level proficiency.
- Experience working within a tax consultancy or a dedicated payroll service bureau is advantageous.
- Familiarity with payroll digitalization and workflow optimization projects is a plus.
What We Offer
- Enjoy flexible working hours (Gleitzeit) and the option for up to two remote workdays per week following the initial onboarding period.
- Benefit from a competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, supplemented by a performance-based bonus of 0-15%.
- Receive approximately 30 days of annual leave.
- Access a membership to the Urban Sports Club or receive tax-free vouchers for benefits, and utilize a company bike leasing program (JobRad).
- Thrive in a warm, family-like team environment with regular social events, including bi-weekly BBQs and summer parties.
- Enjoy complimentary drinks, fresh fruit, muesli, and ice treats during warmer months.
- Secure your future with a company pension scheme (Direktversicherung) and benefit from clear pathways for professional development and career advancement in a digitally focused setting.
Location & Working Model
The primary work location is our office in Cologne. While the initial onboarding phase will be primarily onsite, a hybrid work model with up to two remote days per week will be implemented afterward. No travel is required for this role.
