Role Overview
The Payroll Specialist will be accountable for running payroll accurately and on schedule, keeping payroll records in order, and making sure all activities align with internal standards and regulatory rules. This position also contributes to payroll reconciliations, reporting, and close coordination with Finance and People & Culture teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle monthly payroll preparation and processing with accuracy and timeliness.
- Check attendance, overtime, deductions, allowances, and benefits before payroll is completed.
- Work with People & Culture and Finance to confirm payroll inputs are complete and correct.
- Calculate salaries, end-of-service benefits, and related payroll components properly.
- Ensure payroll activities comply with labor regulations, company policies, and statutory obligations.
- Keep payroll records, supporting documents, and audit trails organized and accurate.
- Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
- Match payroll results with finance records and bank transfer details.
- Prepare payroll summaries, reports, and variance explanations when needed.
- Reconcile social insurance, GOSI, and other statutory payments.
- Identify payroll issues and ensure corrections are completed promptly.
- Maintain accurate data in the payroll system, including SAP.
- Support payroll system improvements and updates together with IT when required.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. The role calls for 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing or HR operations, along with strong English fluency, solid working knowledge of HRIS/SAP payroll systems, understanding of end-of-service benefit calculations, and high numerical accuracy.
