This opportunity sits within the APAC payroll team and is based in Macquarie Park. It is suited to someone ready to build on payroll experience in a regional role spanning seven countries. Role Overview

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for ensuring salaries, allowances, reimbursements, rewards, and deductions are processed accurately and on time for employees across the APAC region. The position reports to the Payroll Manager and includes full systems training. It offers exposure to both weekly and monthly payroll cycles across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and coordinate weekly and monthly payroll cycles for Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, India, and Singapore.
  • Work closely with regional HR teams to collect the information needed for payroll processing.
  • Look for ways to improve payroll workflows through better automation and streamlined administration.
  • Apply awards, agreements, and workplace rules correctly so payroll remains compliant.
  • Handle tax processing, deductions, reconciliation, and remittance.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll questions, errors, and discrepancies quickly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in payroll, ideally in a large multinational business.
  • Hands-on exposure to payroll systems such as ADP, Chris21, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to interpret awards and agreements for payroll purposes.
  • Strong accuracy, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience solving administrative issues through practical and creative approaches.
  • Curiosity to learn and a drive to grow professionally.
