Role overview

Al Jaber Group is seeking a Payroll Officer for an urgent opening in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position is open only to candidates already based in the UAE, and applicants from any nationality may be considered. Key duties

  • Maintain employee attendance records on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Work out employee pay by tracking hours worked.
  • Apply the correct allowances, benefits, and deductions to payroll calculations.
  • Process compensation payments through payroll systems.
  • Check that tax handling follows both company policy and relevant state rules.
  • Arrange electronic salary transfers and issue paper paychecks where needed.
  • Compile and share payroll-related reports.
  • Provide employees with payment statements.
  • Answer queries related to salary, taxes, deductions, and benefits.
  • Record new joiner details in the company database.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources or a closely related area.
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong spoken English and presentation ability.
  • Hands-on knowledge of payroll tools, especially QuickBooks, JDE, and ERP systems.
  • Understanding of applicable labor laws in the state.
