Job description

Job Location and Schedule

This permanent position is based in Beverley, Humberside, with convenient commuting options from Hull, Driffield, Market Weighton, Goole, and Selby. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Payroll Executive to support an expanding client base by managing comprehensive payroll responsibilities accurately and efficiently.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll operations.
  • Verify employees' worked hours.
  • Process payment related to holidays, sick leave, maternity leave, and expenses.
  • Compute overtime, shift differentials, and salary increases.
  • Handle deductions such as tax and national insurance contributions.
  • Respond to queries from clients regarding payroll matters.
  • Manage electronic fund transfers to employees promptly.
  • Issue tax documents including P45 forms.
  • Prepare month-end reports such as P32 forms.
  • Submit Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns.
  • Perform Real Time Information (RTI) submissions on various payroll cycles.
  • Manage year-end forms like P60s and related procedures.
  • Review PAYE coding notices for accuracy.
  • Liaise with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) effectively.

Expertise and Support

The candidate will possess a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and tax regulations related to payroll, including eligibility and procedures for different payment types such as maternity pay and tax refunds. Additionally, the role encompasses providing payroll support to human resources, assisting with onboarding and exit paperwork such as P45s.
