Role overview
This permanent position sits within the Landside team at London Stansted Airport. It is a 40-hour per week role based on site, with rotating day and night shifts. The rota runs from 06:00 to 18:15 and from 18:00 to 06:15, following a day-day/night-night pattern with four days off.
The pay band is 9, with a starting annual salary of £27,311, increasing to £30,241 after completion of a 3-month qualifying period. A 17.5% shift allowance is also included.

What the role involves
You will help keep the car parks running efficiently by carrying out mobile patrols, performing first-line maintenance, and handling both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. The role also includes spotting, recording, and escalating hazards, faults, health and safety concerns, and security issues across the car parks and the wider landside operation.
In addition, you will help manage and secure the car park estate, safeguard revenue, support cash handling processes, monitor capacity and zone usage, and provide the first response during emergency evacuations. The position calls for a flexible team player who can cover all aspects of car park operations while delivering excellent service to customers.

Key experience and abilities include face-to-face customer service, a full UK driving licence, strong verbal and numerical skills, good organisation, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and solve problems, and confidence using IT tools such as tablets and handheld devices.
