Role Overview
The Pastry Chef will be instrumental in contributing to the creation and refinement of new bakery products such as breads, croissants, cakes, cookies, and various pastries. This role emphasizes hands-on involvement in recipe formulation, systematic testing, and quality analysis to ensure newly developed items adhere to the organization's quality benchmarks before their official launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of experimental trials for new bakery goods, carrying out recipe tests and preparing samples as necessary.
- Craft and refine recipes for a range of bakery items including breads, croissants, cakes, cookies, and assorted pastries.
- Apply established product development methodologies to both innovative and current bakery offerings.
- Assess and analyze qualities such as taste, texture, visual appeal, and overall quality of samples prior to approval.
- Collaborate with the production, quality, procurement, marketing, and other internal teams to efficiently support product rollout and process improvement.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of test outcomes, recipes, and feedback to facilitate ongoing product enhancement.
- Operate effectively within structured corporate frameworks, adhering to established processes and project schedules.
Candidate Profile
- Practical experience working with bakery products including breads, cakes, and pastries.
- Demonstrated capability in executing and supporting recipe trials and product evaluations.
- Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end bakery product development cycle.
- Skilled at cross-functional collaboration, particularly in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in Arabic is favored; candidates with strong English communication skills will also be considered.
- A formal certificate in bakery arts or culinary studies is preferred but not essential.
