Job description
Role Overview
U-Haul is seeking a Parts Specialist to help keep shop operations running smoothly through organized parts handling and accurate inventory control. This position supports vehicle maintenance work by tracking parts and repair statements, using company systems, and helping ensure the shop operates efficiently.
This opportunity is open to candidates new to the industry as well as those with prior vehicle repair exposure. The company emphasizes growth, hands-on learning, and the chance to work with a large, continually updated fleet of trucks and trailers.
U-Haul promotes its “Hire Fast, Pay Fast” approach, which includes the option to start work and receive pay the same day through a hands-on working interview. A $100 hiring bonus is also offered.
Primary Responsibilities
- Order, receive, and stock parts, tools, materials, and other supplies.
- Monitor inventory movement and complete inventory cycle tasks.
- Retrieve and transport parts as needed.
- Enter part details and repair statement information into record-keeping software.
- Provide support in other areas when requested by a supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to work cooperatively and contribute as a team member.
- Valid driver’s license and a record that remains in good standing.
- Willingness to learn and consistently follow safety rules and procedures.
- Forklift certification.

Work Environment
The role may involve moderate safety-related risks or discomforts, including exposure to moving parts, machinery, fumes, or chemicals. Protective equipment such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical Demands
The job can require extended periods of standing indoors and outdoors, moving through work areas, reaching for and using tools, and lifting or moving at least 50 lbs either with assistance or independently.
