Role Overview
The company is looking for a part-time Social Media Manager in the Los Angeles area. This is a role for someone who can think strategically, move quickly, and handle multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable shaping social strategy, producing content, and using both AI-based tools and traditional creative software.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage social media strategies that match each client’s brand objectives and audience.
- Create, plan, and publish content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and X.
- Handle daily posting, community interactions, and timely audience engagement.
- Edit and produce short-form videos for Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts using AI-assisted and conventional editing tools.
- Design and refine still and animated visuals for posts, stories, and ads with AI image tools as well as standard design software.
- Develop monthly posting calendars and keep the brand tone consistent across channels.
- Monitor key performance metrics, review analytics, and prepare reports with practical recommendations.
- Keep up with social platform changes, trend shifts, algorithm updates, and new AI creative tools.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in an agency setting.
- Demonstrated ability to own strategy, content creation, and execution from start to finish.
- Excellent writing skills and a strong sense of visual creativity.
- Practical experience with both AI-supported and traditional video editing.
- Ability to edit images using standard design tools and AI-based tools.
- Experience using social media scheduling platforms.
- Comfort with analytics, performance tracking, and turning data into action.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to manage several clients and deadlines independently.
- Must be based in the Los Angeles area, with availability for occasional office or client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to paid social campaigns such as Meta Ads and TikTok Ads.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation, including After Effects.
- A portfolio or examples showcasing previous accounts and creative work.
Work Details
This is a hybrid role based in Los Angeles, California. The expected schedule is approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility in working hours. The arrangement may be contract-based or W-2, depending on discussion.
