Part Time Officer - Management DVC Admin

Role overview

This short-term, part-time assignment supports the Deputy Vice Chancellor in following up on strategic and transformation priorities. The role focuses on keeping initiatives aligned with institutional goals, ensuring smooth execution, and helping leadership make well-informed decisions through analysis, reporting, and coordination.

Key contributions

• Help organize the rollout of strategic and transformation initiatives and keep an eye on delivery milestones.
• Draft executive-level reports and briefing notes, and ensure governance decisions are tracked through to completion.
• Work with academic and administrative teams to support collaboration across functions.
• Carry out strategic research, comparative benchmarking, and other analysis to guide decision-making.
• Maintain tracking systems for institutional priorities and major projects, including progress updates.
• Support communication between stakeholders so initiatives move forward effectively.

Terms and conditions

This opportunity is offered as a part-time, short-term contract. The university will not arrange visa sponsorship or medical insurance for this position.

Qualifications and experience

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required, while a master’s degree is preferred. Candidates should bring at least 7 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, organizational development, or a closely related area. Experience within higher education will be considered an advantage. Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent credential is preferred.

Skills and language profile

The position calls for strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic and French would be an added advantage.
