Role Summary

Navitus Health Solutions is looking for a Paralegal to join its team. This position supports Navitus, Lumicera, and related subsidiaries by handling licensing work, preparing legal documents and templates, maintaining legal records, performing research, and helping interpret legal and regulatory changes that may affect the business.

Work Arrangement and Schedule

The preferred location for this role is Madison, Wisconsin, and the position is set up as hybrid. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remote work is not available for residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, West Virginia, or Wyoming.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Navitus’ mission, values, and vision, and help integrate those principles into continuous quality improvement work.
  • Handle licensing-related processes for Navitus, its subsidiaries, and their employees.
  • Research applicable laws, statutes, and regulations and prepare summaries or memorandums of findings.
  • Draft legal materials such as contracts and correspondence for attorney review, approval, and use.
  • Maintain legal documents and correspondence in both electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Keep legal records organized through accurate indexing and filing practices.
  • Review and analyze statutes, court decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.
  • Carry out administrative support tasks such as scheduling, note-taking, typing routine communications, sharing information with internal and external stakeholders, and sorting incoming mail.
  • Track legislative and regulatory updates that may impact Navitus and its affiliates.
  • Support the understanding and application of relevant rules and regulations.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A paralegal certificate is preferred.
  • Strong typing speed and accuracy are required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to support and follow compliance program goals.
  • Comfortable working cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is USD 28.95 to USD 34.88 per hour. The STAR bonus is listed as 0.00 and this role is ineligible for that bonus.
