Job description
Your role
Join the creative team to shape packaging design for a range of product lines and international markets, working in close partnership with design colleagues, the photo studio, product development, marketing, and the design lead. The position focuses on keeping Sunday Natural’s brand identity, purpose, and values consistently reflected in premium packaging outcomes.
This mid-to-senior role is suited to a proactive designer who works confidently and independently, thinks critically, and has solid technical expertise in print production. You will be expected to take responsibility for projects from the first concept through to final print-ready files, resolving issues early and delivering highly accurate artwork.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain packaging design across multiple product categories and overseas markets.
- Develop packaging concepts that follow the company’s visual identity and brand guidelines.
- Manage projects end to end, from brief intake to final artwork ready for print.
- Prepare accurate production files and final artwork, with a strong focus on technical precision and consistency.
- Carry out quality checks before and after production.
- Refine existing packaging systems, layouts, and working methods to improve output.
- Partner with internal teams to develop creative solutions that work across different packaging formats and media.
- Coordinate with suppliers, printers, and internal stakeholders to achieve strong production results.
- Support and advise colleagues on both creative and technical matters to strengthen collaboration and solutions.
- Deliver creative work within agreed timelines.
- Create mockups and visual presentations for internal reviews, website use, and production coordination.
- Spot design, production, or workflow risks early and suggest practical fixes.
- Explore AI-based tools and integrate them into the workflow where useful.
Candidate profile
You should have a background in graphic design, packaging design, visual communication, media design, or a comparable qualification, along with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience. A proven portfolio of packaging work that has already been produced and released is essential.
Strong knowledge of packaging development, print production, materials, finishes, dielines, and final artwork preparation is required. You must be fully confident using Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and be experienced in creating print-ready files while avoiding technical errors before production begins.
The role also calls for confidence in working with printers, suppliers, and production partners, plus strong creative, organisational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. A detailed eye, high quality standards, clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are all important.
You should already be interested in AI-driven solutions and new technologies that can speed up workflows, keep up with current packaging trends, materials, innovations, and forecasting, and be willing to travel within Europe to support print production.
