Position Overview
Joining Walmart Canada as an Overnight Lead offers an excellent opportunity to develop retail industry experience. In this role, the Lead Department Manager - Overnights directs a team focused on stocking shelves, creating displays, and maintaining a store environment that is both presentable and well-organized. Ideal candidates possess leadership skills and attention to detail to effectively manage overnight operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and coordination of overnight stocking activities following priorities set by the Overnight Assistant Manager and Daytime Management Team.
- Evaluate overall merchandise presentation and store appearance; identify issues and implement merchandising display updates as necessary.
- Manage removal of defective merchandise by ensuring it is relocated to the claims room.
- Take on general safety and security responsibilities within the store in the absence of the Overnight Assistant Manager, including accident management during the overnight shift.
- Inspect assigned store areas to confirm adequate security measures and compliance of physical facilities.
- Contribute to training and development initiatives for Overnight Associates to enhance productivity.
Compensation
This position's minimum starting wage is $18.60 per hour.
