Role overview
The Organisational Development team is expanding its capability to support stronger organisational performance, workforce sustainability, and long-term impact. In this role, you will help design and deliver complex organisational development and capability initiatives, working closely with OD Managers to turn strategy and frameworks into practical outcomes.
What you will do
You will contribute to initiatives across the university by combining diagnostic thinking, facilitation, and sound judgement. The position involves shaping delivery approaches, partnering with stakeholders, and progressing priorities that improve organisational effectiveness and workforce capability.
- Support the design and delivery of organisational development and capability initiatives
- Carry out needs analysis and diagnostic work to guide the right approach
- Facilitate workshops, learning activities, and group development sessions for varied audiences
- Define and deliver projects or workstreams with clear goals, timeframes, and outcomes
- Partner with OD Managers and Advisors to keep initiatives aligned and effectively implemented
- Adapt delivery methods to suit different stakeholders, settings, and requirements
- Help improve OD practices and delivery methods over time
You will be working on initiatives led by OD Managers, with responsibility for advancing delivery and improving the overall quality and impact of outcomes.
About you
You are an experienced organisational development professional with a strong record in delivery, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. You are comfortable working in complex environments, can assess needs effectively, and can structure work clearly to achieve outcomes within defined boundaries.
Requirements
Applicants should bring a relevant degree and at least five years’ experience in learning, organisational development, human resources, or a related field. Strong facilitation ability, experience creating and delivering OD or capability initiatives, and the ability to turn insight into practical solutions are essential.

Additional information
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week. The salary range is NZ$87,000 to NZ$118,000, depending on skills and experience.
