Role overview
Amazon is seeking an Operations / Senior Operations Manager to support last-mile and network operations across multiple locations. The role is centered on building dependable processes, leading teams, and improving performance across fulfillment centers, sortation hubs, and delivery networks.

What this role involves
- Creating, scaling, and owning operational processes from fulfillment centers through sort hubs and into the last-mile delivery network.
- Recruiting, training, and developing a motivated workforce for sort hubs with support from HR and the training team.
- Making sure the sites have sufficient capacity to manage peak volume periods.
- Working closely with Finance, Delivery Stations, FC teams, and Projects teams on city-level operational matters.
- Running performance reviews and mentoring team members to strengthen operational execution.
- Driving continuous improvement to raise quality, reduce waste, and remove unnecessary work.
- Studying reports and operational data to find bottlenecks and improve outcomes.
Day-to-day priorities
- Lead initiatives across the region related to safety, team engagement, network speed, and cost efficiency.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, weekly and monthly business reviews, and peak-readiness calls.
- Use data analysis to spot constraints and implement improvement methods such as Kaizen and other continuous improvement practices.
- Review and complete the labor plan for each site so costs stay optimized while performance standards and associate experience remain strong.
- Coach operations managers, challenge existing ways of working, and help embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with site leaders, regional leaders, and central teams to benchmark and adopt best practices on the floor.
